Mr. William “Bill” Burckart is the Founder and CEO of Burckart Consulting, where he helps clients integrate their philanthropic and investment goals through the sourcing, structuring and execution of high impact opportunities across a range of sectors. Bill is the author of Bringing Impact Investing Down to Earth: Insights for Making Sense, Managing Outcomes, and Meeting Client Demand (2015) as well as Serving Client Demand for Impact Investing: A Hands-on Guide for Financial Advisors and Senior Management (2014), managed the production of and is a contributing author to the New Frontiers of Philanthropy: A Guide to the New Tools and Actors that Are Reshaping Global Philanthropy and Social Investing (2014), and was involved in the writing of the Status of the Social impact investing Market: A Primer (2013) that was distributed to policymakers at the inaugural G8-level forum on impact investing.

 

Bill is a visiting scholar of the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco, serves on the Global Advisory Council of Cornerstone Capital Group, and is a co-founder of Impact Economy. He has testified before the Illinois Task Force on Social Innovation, Enterprise, and Entrepreneurship, and has presented at events for the Clinton Global Initiative, Financial Advisor & Private Wealth, various US Federal Reserve Banks, Bank of America, the Association for Enterprise Opportunity, The Georgia Center for Nonprofits, the Impact Investment Exchange (IIX), Net Impact, Tsinghua University (Beijing), the Money Management Institute (MMI), and Southeastern Council of Foundations. He holds a Master of Public Policy from Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelor of International Affairs from George Washington University.
